We have gotten recaptcha working on 1.5 and setup so you can too. Its a core hack, and we took the privs for providing a backup file as well so you dont have to.

We made is so all people registering for your site and using normal registration methods have to now type in the recaptcha and all people using the normal contacts component have to use the recaptcha and all admins... Wait why admins... Well most people do not change the Super Admins username from admin... so all a bot has to do is use your admin username and brute force the password... Now they cant.

We change 6 files and add 3 lines to 1 login.css thats for the admin template.

I'd been looking for a simple way to integrate recaptcha and this looked like hack I was looking for, but when following the instructions exactly, there is no SUBMIT button on the register or contacts items.

The recaptcha shows up fine, but there's no way the end user can actually submit the registration or contact since there is no active way to submit.

I'm sure it's simply a matter of a blocked out piece of code, but I'm missing it so far. This looks like a wonderful little hack once I can find that line or two report abuse vote down vote up Votes: +0 Problem

Nope, the newly download one behave the same

Yes, I know that it works here as I used it to register...that's why I thought there was something just slightly peculiar about the files I downloaded...I expected it to work with the second download, but still no go.
